Hamilton de Holanda Intimo

Intimo is the brilliant follow up to the phenomenal young Brazilian mandolinist's acclaimed  2006 release, Brasilianos.

"I intended to record this album on the road....The concept has to do with a place where our souls can experience the quietness and restfulness -- and for me, this is that soundtrack.  It's not a mandolin exercise or practice, but simply the enjoyment of playing.

There are no arrangements, just songs that live in my unconscious.  Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, Edu Lobo, Carola, Silvio Caldas, Orestes Barbosa, Noel Rosa, Vadico, Dorival Caymmi, Guinga and Paulo Cesar Pinheiro.  There are three of my compositions.

Anyway, this album can be heard with full attention or not.  It can be heard in the car, on an iPod, when you do not want to think, want to cry or laugh, as I like to say "as you please."   From the liner notes, Hamilton de Holanda, Rio de Janeiro, November 2006
